Cloud Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Cloud Engineer who can join us less than 30 days in Abu Dhabi office. Key Responsibilities:

OCI Infrastructure Design and Automation

• Architect, implement, and manage OCI infrastructure solutions for critical business applications using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules to ensure standardized and efficient deployment across environments.

• Automate deployment and configuration of OCI resources, including Compute Instances, Block Storage, Object Storage, and Load Balancers.

• Use Ansible to manage configuration, patching, and software provisioning for cloud environments.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment and management of OCI resources and configurations.

Networking and Connectivity

• Design and configure secure and scalable Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs) with subnets, route tables, and gateways (Internet, NAT, and Service Gateway).

• Manage hybrid connectivity between on-premises systems and OCI using FastConnect or IPsec VPN.

• Implement and optimize inter-region VCN peering for multi-region architectures.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance in OCI environments.

Cloud Security and Compliance

• Configure and manage IAM policies, ensuring role-based access control (RBAC) and adherence to the principle of least privilege.

• Deploy and manage OCI-native security tools, including Cloud Guard, WAF, and Key Management Service (KMS) for encryption of data at rest and in transit.

• Use Ansible playbooks to automate security baselines for cloud resources, including patching, firewall configurations, and vulnerability management.

• Conduct periodic security audits and compliance checks to ensure alignment with standards like CIS, SOC2, GDPR, and PCI DSS.

Monitoring, Logging, and Optimization

• Configure and manage OCI Monitoring, Logging Analytics, and Notifications to proactively identify and resolve performance issues.

• Create and manage dashboards and alerts for critical infrastructure components, ensuring system reliability and uptime.

• Analyze logs and monitoring data to identify opportunities for cost optimization and resource utilization improvements.

Collaboration and Support

• Collaborate with Service Lines, DevOps, and GSO teams to ensure seamless integration of OCI services into application workflows.

• Provide on-call support for production infrastructure, ensuring timely resolution of incidents.

• Document infrastructure architectures, Terraform modules, Ansible playbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions to promote team-wide expertise in OCI, Terraform, and Ansible.

Qualifications

Required Technical Skills

• At least 3+ years of experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including core services like Compute, Storage, Networking, and IAM.

• Strong understanding of OCI networking components, including VCNs, Security Lists, NSGs, Load Balancers, and Gateways.

• Advanced knowledge of Terraform, including writing complex reusable modules, managing state files, and troubleshooting IaC deployments.

• Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

• Hands-on experience creating and managing Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories.

• Proficiency in using Ansible for configuration management, patching, and software deployment in cloud environments.

• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity solutions such as FastConnect.

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including IAM policies, encryption, and vulnerability management.

• Experience in scripting with Python, Bash, or PowerShell for custom automation tasks.
