Job Description

Epigene Labs is looking for a Data Science Intern for a 6-month end-of-studies internship, starting between January and June 2025.

As a member of the data science team, you will collaborate with machine learning engineers and data engineers to develop, optimize, and maintain machine learning models. These models will be deployed within our NLP pipelines, which enable the integration of clinical datasets.

The idea of an internship at Epigene is to get a foot in the door of the company and to be able to focus on a specific subject during the months of internship with other members of the team. Many of our previous interns have gone on to join the team on permanent contracts.

Required

Preferred Experience

• Proficiency in Python programming
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Strong foundation in Data Science and Machine Learning concepts
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

• Interest in NLP (Natural Language Processing), research and/or oncology
• Knowledge of data management concepts (ETL, APIs, data storage solutions) and versioning tools (GitHub)
