Software Engineer

Location: Zurich, Switzerland

Salary: up to CHF 145,000

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Evaluate software requirements and change requests, considering feasibility, complexity, system impact, and adherence to standards.
• Define technical and human resources required while ensuring seamless integration with peripheral systems.
• Analyse, design, and implement security measures within software applications.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications, components, and interfaces.
• Provide third-level support by analysing and fixing software bugs.
• Create concepts and implement software improvements throughout the software lifecycle.
• Support project execution for customer projects.

Required Skills/Experience

• Technical education in software engineering (HF, FH, or University) with professional experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of backend and frontend software engineering principles.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming, .NET, and Angular.
• Experience with source control management, particularly Git on Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of software design and architecture patterns.
• Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and network environments.
• Fluent in English (C1 level or equivalent) and German.
• Willingness to travel internationally (<10%) with strong intercultural skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience

• Experience in industrial automation or embedded systems.
• Knowledge of cloud-based software solutions and microservices architecture.
• Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
