A global medical device company in Galway is seeking a Global Project Manager to join a busy Supplier Management team on a permanent basis. There are hybrid working options available with this position.


Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.


About Your New Job as a Global Project Manager:

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between the company and their suppliers, ensuring efficient communication and alignment of objectives.
  • Lead NPD efforts, facilitating smooth transitions from development to production with a strong emphasis on operational efficiency.
  • Manage site transfers and acquisition integrations, minimizing risks and ensuring business continuity.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and risk management strategies to ensure successful project completion.
  • Oversee product manufacturability and production transfers, leveraging best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Identify and resolve potential challenges impacting quality, cost, or delivery through proactive engagement with stakeholders.
  • Assign tasks within the project team, ensuring clear accountability and timely execution.
  • Provide technical expertise to support supplier sustaining initiatives, including Change Notifications.
  • Present project updates and key insights to senior management and stakeholders.


What Skills You Need:

  • 7+ years engineering experience (manufacturing, process development or related) with 3+ years in project management.
  • Level 8 Bachelor’s degree required (240 credits), preferably in engineering.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time domestically and internationally
  • Experience in working with external suppliers or as a supplier to large customers.
  • Medical Device manufacturing experience strongly desired including familiarity with equipment qualification and process validation.
  • Familiarity with identifying, driving, and implementing continuous improvement projects
  • Experience in manufacturing production transfers.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and a deep understanding of internal SOPs is a plus
  • PMP certification a plus.
