PHP Developer (GreenGold)

Our client - GreenGold is a Swedish independent forest company specializing in timberland ownership and management and operating in 7 EU countries. GreenGold emphasizes sustainable forest management with a long-term perspective, aiming to become a significant private forest owner in the Baltic region. Their team comprises experienced foresters and a network of professionals dedicated to efficient forest management and property acquisitions. Additionally, GreenGold engages in social responsibility initiatives, such as organizing annual educational and collaborative tree planting events in Lithuania to promote environmental awareness and community involvement.

Job description:

The company GreenGold plans to expand IT tasks at the group level and invites a PHP Developer to join. The internal company system is not final; it is constantly being improved, so you will have the opportunity to contribute to its enhancement, process optimization, and development. A sense of ownership and growth is crucial here.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new features and fix bugs (Symfony, PHP)
• Optimize and refactor code (Symfony, PHP)
• Existing system adaptation for other countries (Symfony, PHP, Cloud hosting)
• Analyze requirements and implement solutions
• Perform system backups and restore when required (server side, Linux terminal)
• Manage and maintain databases (Postgres)
• Respond to calls/emails, redmine from colleagues about in-house IT systems
• Troubleshooting basic office IT issues (workstations, network connectivity, email, Windows OS and MS tenant, licensing)
• Basic hardware and network infrastructure support
• Update and maintain WordPress content and features.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience in PHP (Symfony or Laravel framework)
• Web technologies: PHP7+, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TWIG (front-end templating)
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL (SQL, maintenance, dumps, remount, vacuum)
• Version control: GIT
• Tools: Docker, Bash scripting, Linux (CentOS, Debian), Nginx, SSH
• Basic scripting for deployment and cache management
• Understanding of deployment processes
• Ability to troubleshoot basic office IT issues (workstations, network connectivity, email)
• Basic hardware and network infrastructure support
• Windows OS and office software troubleshooting
• Ability to communicate in English (verbally and in written form).

Additional Skills (good to have)

• Knowledge of unit testing and PHPUnit would be an advantage
• WordPress pages maintenance and support
• Experience with C#.

Monthly salary:

2800 – 4300 Eur Gross.
