What can you expect from the position?
Network Engineer will be responsible for creating and managing IT networks for NKT Group. Your primary duties include designing, building, and integrating secure connections between NKT Group offices and production factories, supervising and operating computer networks within organizations. You will set up new networks and upgrade existing ones, ensuring proper configuration and interconnection. Additionally, you maintain network hardware and software, monitor network performance, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime. This includes addressing latency, security breaches, and other network-related problems. You also will be providing assistance to employees and other individuals on how to effectively use the network.
You will be a part of an international team of colleagues placed in Kaunas (Lithuania), Cologne (Germany) and Chennai (India).

You will be a part of an international team of colleagues placed in Kaunas (Lithuania), Cologne (Germany) and Chennai (India).
Your main tasks will be:
- Setting up new networks, upgrading or/and expanding existing ones, and ensuring proper configuration and interconnection.
- To assure continuous and stable network operations.
- Proactively maintain network infrastructure, suggest design changes as needed.
- Configure network components like routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Resolve network issues promptly, both hardware and software-related.
- At least 3 years of experience with IT Network configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Experience with configuring network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software.
- Good understanding of IT Networks. WAN, WLAN, SDWAN, MPLS, VLAN’s, Network subnetting, network and routing protocols.
- Good understanding of IT networking infrastructure, security, software and cloud services.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Efficient in managing tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
- Eager to learn new things.
- English, fluently speaking and writing.
- Danish, Swedish, German, Polish or Czech is considered an advantage but not required.
