What You Would Do As Our IT System Engineer

You will oversee IT infrastructure, focusing on virtualization, networking, and security. This includes managing Windows and Linux operating systems, maintaining Active Directory and Intune, providing hands-on support, and ensuring the smooth operation of network printers, video conferencing systems, and A/V equipment. Additionally, you will work with Dell hardware, Atlassian tools, and ITIL best practices while leveraging scripting knowledge for automation.

You would also:

  • Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and backup systems.
  • Ensure network security and performance with Cisco and Sophos technologies.
  • Administer Windows and Linux OS, AD, GPO, and Intune for IT security and endpoint management.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot IT issues across the organization.
  • Oversee virtualization (VMware), network printers, A/V systems, and automation with PowerShell

The skills and experience you need:

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 4-5 years of experience in a similar IT System Engineer role.
  • Strong experience with networking and security, including Cisco and Sophos technologies.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization (VMware), and IT endpoint management (AD, GPO, Intune).
  • Experience working with network printers, video conferencing systems, A/V equipment, and Dell hardware (clients, servers is a plus).

The ideal candidate has excellent organizational and time management skills, enabling them to manage tasks efficiently and effectively. Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence is advantageous, as is knowledge of PowerShell scripting. Additionally, experience working within the ITIL framework is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of best practices in IT service management.
