Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior UI/UX professional at Phi Wallet. The role is located in Muscat with the flexibility for some work from home. We are looking for a skilled Android developer who possesses a solid understanding of the Android ecosystem and best performance & security practices for building a FinTech application.

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• Writing maintainable, secure, testable, performant and well documented code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Skills And Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Android development and a strong understanding of the Android ecosystem, libraries, frameworks, and patterns.
• Strong proficiency in Java / Kotlin & Android CI/CD technologies.
• Knowledge of Android UI design principles best practices, and the ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
• Have worked on FinTech or payment wallet apps, and published multiple Android apps in the play store.
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
• Experience integrating with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and web services.
• Comfortable working with git.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
