What You'll Do

Join Viasat as a full-stack engineer in the Advertising team to develop innovative web services.

You will join a dynamic, multi-functional team that not only designs but also supports their services in production! This role will enable you to gain comprehensive experience in all aspects of the Software Development lifecycle, from initial design through to successful implementation and ongoing support. You will collaborate closely with product management and UX design teams, ensuring flawless delivery of services that meet our high standards.

The day-to-day

• Develop and maintain web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Engage with multi-functional teams in designing, building, and shipping new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Provide on-call production support for Advertising products.
• Engage in code reviews and actively contribute to the team's development.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Maintain API services and front-end libraries that serve Ads in passenger experiences.
  
  
  

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Experience with frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React or Angular.
• Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
  
  

What Will Help You On The Job

• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Design Patterns and how to apply them.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools.
