Designers are responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including user research and UX/UI design. It also involves taking functional oversight of design delivery for specific departments. Work includes:

Responsibilities

  • Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs).
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify areas of improvement and propose innovative solutions to enhance system performance and user experience.
  • Solution Design & Implementation:
  • Design and implement cutting-edge solutions for investment services and capital markets products.
  • Lead the integration of third-party systems, including advanced wealth management platforms, ensuring seamless functionality and alignment with business objectives.
  • Review and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including solution architecture, design specifications, and integration workflows.
  • Ensure solutions are well designed and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow
  • Review workflows and user interfaces for quality to drive re-use and improve the user experience.
  • Participate in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative techniques, tools and solutions in the Bank.
  • Solution Review & Testing:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of proposed solutions to ensure they align with business needs and technical standards.
  • Design and coordinate execution of comprehensive test plans for functional testing.
  • Vendor Collaboration:
  • Work closely with vendors to resolve technical issues, optimize system performance, and ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  • Challenge vendors on technical solutions, effort estimates, delivery timelines, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to industry best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders on delivery progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.


Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Mathematics, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in solution design, with financial services and IT delivery.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Proficiency in Avaloq core banking platform and its modules.
  • Strong knowledge of investment services, capital markets, and wealth management solutions.
  • Experience in integrating with third-party systems.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies. Certification will be considered as advantage.
  • Expertise in banking products:
  • Stock Exchange and OTC products, Portfolio Management, Investment Advisory, Order Execution, - Treasury and Cash Management, Settlements, Online banking, Payment services.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management concepts: MIFID2, Data Protection, GDPR, Market Transparency & Standardization, Operational Risk, Anti-Money Laundering, Trade and Transaction monitoring, KYC.
