Senior Software Developer (Professional Services)

Professional Services aims to reduce time to productivity so that larger companies can benefit from frictionless onboarding or migration and start using our tools faster. Product customization is an important part of this process. While our tools can be extended by anyone thanks to their APIs, documentation, and sometimes even open-source code, some customers prefer ready-to-use solutions – it’s our job to deliver them. You would be a good fit for this role if you enjoy helping others solve their problems with technical solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Communicate with customers and internal teams to define the scope of work.
• Develop extensions and customizations for JetBrains products, such as IntelliJ-based IDEs, TeamCity, and YouTrack, according to customer requirements.
• Write documentation for your work to hand over to customers.
• Provide product teams with both internal and customer feedback.
• Communicate with internal teams on their products, both requesting information and changes.
• Constantly improve your technical knowledge of JetBrains products.
• Write instructions that other team members can use.

We will be happy to have you on our team if you have:

• Professional knowledge of Java or Kotlin.
• At least five years of experience with any JVM language.
• A high level of self-organization and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• The ability and willingness to travel when needed.

We’d be thrilled if you have:

• Experience writing extensions for IntelliJ-based IDEs, TeamCity, or YouTrack.
