Project Manager/Risk and Dependency Lead in Cards/Payments – Contract Role – Nordics

For one of our clients, a leading bank currently undergoing a Card Simplification Programme, we are looking for an experienced Risk and Dependency Lead to join their Nordic Region.

The scope of the programme is to introduce a unified Card Management solution and transition to a common operating model. The future solution will accelerate time-to-market, reduce costs and operational risks, and enhance the customer journey.

As the Risk and Dependency Lead for CSP Nordics, you will play a key role in managing the scope and timelines for deliverables from dependent parties. Your responsibilities will include monitoring their progress to ensure they meet targets and managing the risks associated with their deliverables. Additionally, you will own and maintain the project’s risk log, facilitate risk assessments, and lead efforts to manage risks and issues throughout the project.

This role can be based in any Nordic country, although the ideal location is Oslo, Norway.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aligning the scope and timelines of deliverables with dependent parties to ensure all stakeholders remain on track.
• Monitoring progress to ensure deliverables are completed according to plan.
• Managing and mitigating risks related to the performance of dependent parties.
• Owning the risk log, conducting risk assessments, and driving risk and issue management activities.

Essential Skills:

• A strong self-motivated approach with a proactive mindset.
• Expertise in stakeholder management and risk mitigation.
• Proven experience in handling Nordic and international projects.
• A solid understanding of both IT and business functions, with the ability to collaborate across both domains.
• Experience with cards or payment systems, or a background in the financial sector.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
• A strong grasp of SAFe Agile principles and practices.
