Termly is a remote workforce and is spread across the globe, but is centered primarily in the USA and works US business hours. We’re looking to expand our development team and we're hiring in several new roles. The tech stack includes Ruby, Python, PostgreSQL, and React, with a Kubernetes cloud-based infrastructure. We strive to follow agile principles using Kanban.

• You are good at prioritizing and balancing time between your various work assignments.
• You understand the difference between a critical high priority bug and something that is trivial.
• You like collaborating with, learning from, and working closely with members of your team.
• You are proactive when you find something that needs additional attention.
• You have an advanced understanding of web applications and what makes a product a good user experience.
• You are confident in both manual testing as well as writing automated tests.
  
  

This is an automation test position that also heavily leverages manual testing. 5+ years of manual testing and 3+ years of automation experience is preferred but we are willing to hire someone who has the right skills even if they don’t have the requisite amount of experience.

A Bit About The Job

Your primary focus in this position will be to conduct both manual and automated testing on pull requests in your local development environment. Before testing; you'll review the requirements for each pull request and communicate with necessary stakeholders for clarification when needed. Once you've completed onboarding, you'll also take on release management duties.

You’ll play a contributing role in the entire development process. Termly is committed to helping team members develop skills to be even better the longer they’re with us. This position will report to the QA Manager.

This is a hybrid (40% remote and 60% in-office) position based out of Dubai.

Some specific tasks include

• Attending and contributing to planning meetings.
• Collaborating closely with developers and product managers to solve day to day problems.
• Testing pull requests against acceptance criteria.
• Validating production releases.
• Advocating for the user while performing testing or validation.
• Work 4 hours of overlap with US Mountain Time business hours to collaborate with the US-based tech team
  
  

Targeted Qualifications

• 5+ years of prior manual testing experience
• 3+ years of test automation experience (preferably with python & playwright)
• Firm understanding of web applications
• Work well with leaders, support, ops, and developers
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working on remote teams
