About the role:
An exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Project Manager with expertise in End User Equipment Refresh and Hardware Asset Management to join a NSW State Government Organisation on a day rate contracting basis.
You will have experience and be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of end-user hardware assets, coordinating equipment refresh projects to ensure optimal asset utilisation across the organisation. You will also lead a team of six, requiring strong leadership skills.
Additionally, you will be confident in managing hardware vendors to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and be proficient in asset management tools.
Key Accountabilities:
- Asset Management: Oversee the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and disposal of hardware assets, ensuring accurate inventory tracking and reporting.
- Equipment Refresh: Plan and execute equipment refresh cycles, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with various departments to minimize disruption to end users.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with hardware vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with SLAs.
- Policy Development: Develop and enforce hardware asset management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting: Generate and analyse reports on hardware asset utilization, lifecycle status, and refresh progress to inform strategic decision-making.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on project management and hardware asset management practices and procedures, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the hardware asset budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement and deployment of equipment.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in hardware asset management and equipment refresh.
Skills & Experience required:
- Proven experience in hardware asset management and end-user equipment refresh.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Proficiency in asset management tools.
- Experience in vendor management and ensuring compliance with SLAs.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
