Technical Product Owner – Technical Writer

The Role:

We are seeking a talented Technical Product Owner to join our engineering community. In this role, you will partner with software engineering teams, architects, and product managers to build the detailed technical backlogs that drive the value-oriented delivery of our ambitious product roadmaps, write documentation to enable technical teams to interface with our GenAI platform solutions and help drive adoption of shared services.

Responsibilities:

· Translate higher-level backlogs into actionable technical requirements in collaboration with Product Owners and Engineering teams.

· Write clear technical guidance for technical audiences to interface with our products

· Write clear guidance for teams to operationalise our GenAI products

· Help define strategies and provide documentation to support adoption of products within communities

· Create, refine, and maintain backlogs to ensure frequent and incremental value delivery while avoiding unnecessary accumulation of technical or operational debt.

· Address questions, doubts, and risks raised by stakeholders and developers.

· Facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders in other teams to ensure effective delivery of end-to-end solutions.

· Drive backlog prioritisation and manage partner expectations.

· Illustrate ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ business processes using swim-lane diagrams or Activity Diagrams.

· Document and communicate a product roadmap to identify and prioritise the strategic direction of the product.

· Collaborate with Solution Architects, Developers, Testers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions following Agile methodology.

· Advocate for clients/users, prioritising their needs in product design.

· Contribute to the continual development and improvement of departmental processes.

· Lead discussions around roadmap item dependencies and delivery implications.

· Analyse requirements and advise on scope and options for continuous operational improvement.

· Elicit requirements from stakeholders using appropriate techniques and capture these clearly to ensure common understanding.

· Identify and assess risk, reliability, and/or uncertainty in the design, system, or process including the impact of change.

Requirements:

· Experience as a Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, Technical Writer or in a broad range of technical deliveries.

· Ability to work autonomously in an environment of constant change.

· Experience writing technical documentation for software developers and/or data scientists.

· Experience writing requirement documents and user stories.

· Experience defining business and operational processes.

· Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies and software development processes.

· Experience working with teams across multiple countries is desirable.

· Experience in business change is desirable

· Familiarity with Microsoft Azure DevOps is desirable.

· Experience modelling business processes using various tools and techniques is desirable.

IMPORTANT: Position for 6 months with the possibility of extension.
