Senior Machine Learning / AI Engineer

Location: Germany | Remote | Full-time

Salary: €155,000 - €180,000+ total comp (inc bonuses, equity, & incentives)

Our client is a leading AI-driven technology company where machine learning is not just an experiment but central to how they operate. AI is already generating revenue, and they are looking for a Senior ML/AI Engineer to take their AI applications to the next level. This role is focused on deploying real AI solutions, not just research and prototyping.

What You Will Do

• Build and deploy AI models, taking them from development to real-world production.
• Optimise LLM-powered applications, fine-tune models, and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Develop search and ranking models, working on personalised recommendations and semantic retrieval.
• Ensure AI systems scale efficiently, improving performance and inference speed.
• Work with engineers, data teams, and leadership to deliver AI solutions that drive impact.

What You Bring

• Proven AI and machine learning engineering expertise. This is a hands-on role, not just research.
• Strong experience with LLMs, retrieval models, and fine-tuning large-scale AI applications.
• Background in search and recommendation systems, including vector databases, approximate nearest neighbour search, and personalised ranking models.
• MLOps and AI infrastructure experience, including Docker, Kubernetes, and MLflow, with a focus on deploying models in production.
• Experience optimising LLMs for low-latency inference using ONNX Runtime, TorchScript, Triton Inference Server, or Ray.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, Snowflake, and Databricks.
