Software Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Developer with expertise in C# and MS SQL to join our dynamic team in Luxembourg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing applications and databases to meet business needs. You will work in a collaborative environment to design and implement software solutions while ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain C# applications, ensuring the software meets business requirements and is scalable, reliable, and efficient.
• Design and optimize SQL queries and database structures in MS SQL Server.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in applications and databases.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Optimize database performance and implement improvements to SQL code and server performance.
• Develop unit tests and ensure code quality through automated testing.
• Stay updated with industry trends and new technologies to continuously improve the development process.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in C# with hands-on experience in building and maintaining applications.
• In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server, including complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and database optimization.
• Experience in ASP.NET and Entity Framework is a plus.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software development principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Knowledge of web services (RESTful APIs, SOAP) is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
