What will the Front-End Developer do?
The Front-End Developer will help us take our application stack to the next level to ensure we provide exceptional tools for our customers to make operational decisions stemming from their weather data. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of new user interfaces and data visualizations for our internal and customer-facing web applications. They will also well as assist with migrating and modernizing our legacy applications.

What will the Front-End Developer do?
The Front-End Developer will help us take our application stack to the next level to ensure we provide exceptional tools for our customers to make operational decisions stemming from their weather data. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of new user interfaces and data visualizations for our internal and customer-facing web applications. They will also well as assist with migrating and modernizing our legacy applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain front-end code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Migrate legacy applications to modern UI frameworks
- Work closely with various business teams and customers to implement our strategic vision
- Integrate front-end components with backend services and databases
- Lead design and UX discussions and collaborate with other developers and subject matter experts
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development
- Performance feedback with direct manager monthly, with detailed quarterly feedback
- Quarterly company-wide and anonymous feedback session to help guide beneficial changes
- Open and receptive lines of communications to management and executives
- Continuing education opportunities including discretionary educational reimbursement
- Expected Starting Salary Range: $85k-$120k

- On-site in Chico, CA or remote in CA, CO, OK or TX only
- 5+ years of experience in front-end development using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js)
- Expert HTML, CSS, JavaScript and responsive web design
- Solid understanding of modern UX design principles and practices
- Working knowledge of back-end development concepts and principles
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with data integration
- Experience with cloud development (Azure or AWS)
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in using version control systems like Git, GitHub
- Some experience with Java, C# or other OOP languages
- Experience building native applications
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity or Azure DevOps
- Exposure to ASP.NET and .NET Core Framework
- General knowledge of meteorological concepts and a passion for weather
- Data visualization design experience for operational datasets a strong plus
- The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as education, skills, and location. We are committed to fair pay practices and transparency.
