API Product Manager

Are you an experienced API product manager with a strong background in telecommunications? Do you have a deep understanding of telco-native and non-telco APIs? We are looking for a Senior Product Manager - APIs to define and execute our API product strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, market needs, and the latest technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and develop API product strategy, ensuring market fit and business alignment within the telecommunications industry.
• Conduct market research to understand user needs, trends, and competitive landscape in telecom APIs.
• Gather and prioritize requirements from developers, customers, and internal teams.
• Support sales efforts by providing API technical expertise and crafting technical and commercial proposals.
• Develop and manage API product roadmaps, ensuring timely feature releases.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design scalable, intuitive APIs with comprehensive documentation.
• Monitor API performance (uptime, latency, and usage) and optimize accordingly.
• Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with telecom industry regulations.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to security vulnerabilities, market shifts, and technical debt.
• Provide training and documentation to facilitate API adoption and integration.

Requirements

Experience: 12-15 years in the telecommunications industry, with at least 5 years of experience in API development or product management.

Education: BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
