Senior Network Engineer

About the Role:

My client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with extensive experience in the ISP environment to join our team. This is a fully remote role based in Sydney, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge networking technologies in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and supporting complex network infrastructures, along with expertise in Juniper, Aruba, or Cisco technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design & Implementation – Design, deploy, and optimize ISP-grade networks, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Routing & Switching – Configure and maintain network infrastructure with a focus on BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and Layer 2/3 networking.
• Troubleshooting & Support – Manage escalations, diagnose complex network issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal network performance.
• Security & Compliance – Maintain network security best practices, working with firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances.
• ISP Infrastructure & Peering – Work with BNG, IP transit, and peering networks to enhance connectivity and performance.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing – Create and maintain technical documentation and mentor junior engineers.

Key Requirements:

✅ ISP Experience – Strong background working in an ISP, carrier, or wholesale networking environment.

✅ Networking Expertise – Hands-on experience with Juniper, Aruba, or Cisco technologies.

✅ Routing & Switching – Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and QoS.

✅ Network Security – Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and security best practices.

✅ Troubleshooting Skills – Ability to diagnose and resolve complex networking issues quickly and efficiently.
