We are currently looking for an AI Data Service Team Lead. In this role, you will manage a team of project managers while overseeing the entire lifecycle of large and complex AI Data services projects. Your primary objective will be to ensure timely and successful delivery of data projects, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage resources, monitor progress, and adjust processes as necessary to meet deadlines and client expectations while mentoring and managing a team's performance.

The hours of this position are based on client revenue and may vary month to month. We anticipate 30-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Directly manage a growing team of project managers located throughout the world, while ensuring clear expectations and communication, mentoring, reviews, capacity planning, company satisfaction, and productivity.
Leading, planning, and delegating the execution of large-scale AI Data projects (data annotation, collection, evaluation, transcription, translation, etc.). Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation through to successful delivery. Strategically allocate resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
Manage a dynamic project team, facilitating strong communication across all stakeholders. Act as the primary liaison with client, maintaining and enhancing client relationships
Proactively conduct risk assessments and devise tailored mitigation strategies
Keep a stringent check on project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered within the agreed parameters
Implement quality control processes and monitor project outputs while maintaining a healthy margin for each initiative.
Continually identify and implement process improvements and best practices to optimize project outcomes
Adapt to shifting schedules to manage global project timelines

Requirements

High School Diploma or University Degree in lieu of experience

5+ years of experience in project management in Data services or a closely related field. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage teams and complex stakeholder relationships. Experience with CAT Tools is required
Very good analytical and organizational skills
Comfortable in speaking to difficult customers on processes/projects
Resilient in stressful situations
Fluency in English is mandatory
Excellent knowledge of commonly used computer desktop applications and services (e.g MS Office, Excel)
This position will work in the EST hours from 8/9-5/6 and would need to cover PST hours, as needed
A strong interest in AI and machine learning, with a solid understanding of AI training and testing dataset workflows and their impact on AI performance
Good to have:

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, R, or others
Excellent command of Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and visualization
Understanding of data structures and basic data modeling, which can aid in structuring projects and understanding client needs more deeply
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI to enhance data-driven decision-making
