Head of Trading

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a major Tier 1 sportsbook and casino operator in both B2C and B2B. They have a huge customer base globally, including across Europe, North America and LATAM.

TEAM OVERVIEW:

They are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Head of Trading to shape the future of their sportsbook product for both B2C and B2B customers. This role involves creating and executing the sportsbook trading strategy, leveraging new technologies to improve quality and efficiencies in trading and providing strong leadership to a cross-functional sportsbook trading team.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Head of Trading will ensure a competitive product across all sports and leagues, responsible for profitability and defining the trading strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders including the VP Sports and C level leadership.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement trading and risk management strategy.
• Structure, manage, and train trading teams effectively.
• Decide between internal execution and external suppliers for our offerings.
• Identify and contract the best suppliers for our needs.
• Collaborate with the sportsbook quant function to enhance internal trading models.
• Participate actively in prioritizing product development and organizational initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of senior-level trading experience - must have proven experience at leadership level managing teams of at least 5 direct reports.
• Strong understanding of sportsbook trading (automated and manual).
• Knowledgeable about key sportsbook suppliers.
• Analytical mindset.
