Software Engineer, Java

Are you a passionate Software Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to work on high-quality applications in the financial industry? Our client is seeking a talented individual for a 12-month contract position in Galway, with the flexibility of hybrid working (would need to be based within commutable distance though)!

you will collaborate with a talented team of engineers to design and develop high-value products; work on cutting-edge applications that support a variety of financial solutions.
Contribute to the overall success of our projects by breaking down designs into manageable tasks and delivering high-quality code with robust testing.

Skills:

Experience: At least 2 years in application design and development, particularly with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Tomcat.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in relational databases (Oracle preferred).
- Experience in REST API development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
- Knowledge of UI technologies (Angular, JavaScript, or similar frameworks).
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, is a plus.
Agile Methodologies: Understanding of Agile practises and their value in development teams.
Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
