Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst to support the development and evaluation of ML-driven pricing and personalization solutions. This role involves conducting data analysis, designing experiments, and providing insights to enhance machine learning models. The Data Analyst will collaborate with ML Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Managers to drive data-driven experimentation and decision-making. The ideal candidate has a strong background in statistical analysis, experiment design, and data science workflows. This position requires working hours that overlap with the US Pacific Time (PST), specifically from 14:00 to 22:00 Romania time.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), hypothesis testing, and statistical modelling to support ML and business objectives
• Develop dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, or Seaborn to track key metrics, experiment outcomes, and model performance
• Perform deep-dive analyses on specific datasets or business problems, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making
• Design, execute, and interpret A/B tests, multivariate experiments, and other controlled tests to evaluate the effectiveness of ML models
• Work closely with ML Scientists, Data Engineers, and Product Managers to align on experiment goals and implement data-driven solutions

Requirements

• Availability to work US hours, with an overlap in Pacific Time (PST) from 14:00 to 22:00 Romania time
• 3 to 4 years of experience in data analysis, experimentation analysis, or a related role supporting ML projects
• Strong understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, causal inference, and experiment design
• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, with experience using Pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn
• Ability to write complex SQL queries including Window Functions, Joins, and Group By operations
• Familiarity with ML techniques like Classification, Regression, and Clustering
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, or Seaborn
• Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests and multivariate experiments to draw actionable insights
• Experience working with large, complex datasets, including preprocessing and feature engineering

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for handling large datasets
• Familiarity with automated experimentation frameworks
• Experience with causal inference techniques to drive data-driven decisions
• Understanding of pricing strategies and personalization models in an ML context
