Embedded Software Engineer

Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) has a consulting assignment available for an Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Gothenburg for one of our automotive clients.

Experience Needed:

• 10+ years of experience in embedded software development (automotive preferred).
• Proficiency in C/C++ and real-time embedded systems.
• Experience with powertrain simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, GT-Power, CarSim, or similar).
• Knowledge of HIL/SIL testing, control systems, and CAN, LIN, or Ethernet communication.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team.

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop embedded software to run real-time powertrain simulations for HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) environments.
• Implement and optimize engine, transmission, and electric powertrain models in embedded systems.
• Work with control engineers to integrate simulations with powertrain control units (ECUs).
• Ensure high accuracy and real-time performance of simulation models.
• Debug and optimize simulation software for efficiency and scalability.
• Develop and maintain automated testing pipelines for simulation validation.
