Our team develops innovative solutions crucial to deploying and maintaining Akamai's global network which carries over 20% of the world's web traffic. Salary- 45 PLN gross/h

You will be part of a diverse team that designs, develops and maintains a high-reliability system supporting Akamai's Connected Cloud of 300k+ servers located worldwide. You will have an opportunity to work and collaborate in an international environment with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders and other developers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. These solutions include distributed systems with both web and console interfaces.

As a Software Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for-

• Building a distributed system, developing new features for existing software and deploying it in a Cloud environment
• Taking care of the quality of delivered solutions by developing tests and maintaining developer documentation
• Understanding and resolving technical problems
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and code development
  
  

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will-

• Demonstrate experience in software development using Python
• Be familiar asynchronous programming in Python
• Show practical knowledge in web development and REST APIs using Django, FastAPI, requests, httpx, or similar frameworks
• Have skills in using SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
• Be knowledgeable in developing software for Linux/Unix-like operating systems and using command-line tools
• Demonstrate familiarity with Linux networking, including TCP/IP, SSH, SSL, HTTP/HTTPS protocols and IPv4/IPv6 addressing
• Have a working knowledge of Git, Docker containers and DevOps practices
• Be open-minded, passionate about learning, motivated, and able to work with little supervision in a collaborative environment
  
  

Work in a way that works for you

Our 6-month interm program starts in July. The program requires you to be available 40 hours per week during summer months (July-September). We offer the opportunity to work part-time during the academic year (October-December).

This is a flexible role and may be performed at your home and/or the local Akamai office (in the country advertised). We are happy to discuss working options in this role and encourage you to speak with your recruiter in more details when you apply.
