Hudson RPO, on behalf of our global chemical manufacturing client, is seeking a Senior Engineer Project Manager for a manufacturing site in Łódź, Poland.
The primary objectives of this role include:
- Management of Projects up to $15M
- Achieve Project KPI in Safety, Scope, Quality, Schedule, Cost
- Steering of technical scope development using extensive Engineering experience
- Commercial management of EPCM Contracts
- Lead Engineering and Construction Teams
- Ensure Compliance with regulatory requirements
- Lead Project Execution Strategy, Organization, staffing and scheduling
- Stakeholder management up to Senior Levels
- Local management of small team of Project Engineer
Other Key Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible to achieve Project Requirements regarding safety, quality, risk management, schedule and costs
- Co-ordinate, monitor and control all project management activities
- Prepare Project Execution strategy, project organization, staffing plan and time schedule
- Chair regular meetings with Steering Committee, prepare monthly status reports
- Develop and implement continuous improvement measures and new ways of working on Investment Projects in co-ordination with other Project Managers to deliver project objectives in terms of EHS, quality, cost, reliability and schedules
- Use the Quality Management process for Investment projects to ensure non-conformances and lessons learnt are recorded, acted upon and shared.
- Work with your manager to identify your learning and development needs, and work towards an agreed learning and development plan. This includes attending training courses and completion of self-learning package
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience, ideally in a Project Engineering/Management role within the manufacturing industry.
- Experience in delivering Capital Projects utilizing internal and external resources.
- People management experience is desirable.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Extensive engineering knowledge with an ability to guide scope development across key technical areas, including:
- Manufacturing plant process design
- Piping design and supports
- Mechanical relief devices
- Structural supports and gantries
- Vessel design and modification
- Regulatory compliance (e.g., Seveso Directive, DSEAR, Machinery Safety)
- Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation
- Automation
- Process safety and functional safety
- Strong problem-solving skills to deliver solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Ability to take ownership of engineering systems, including financial and planning responsibilities for projects, sub-projects, or tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP, and Microsoft Project.
Project Management & Leadership
- Project Management qualifications are preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, resolve conflicts, and drive team performance.
- Expertise in project execution, stakeholder engagement, risk management, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, and governance.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication of technical matters.
- Knowledge and adherence to safe systems of work (e.g., Site SSOW, CDM, HASAWA).
- Ability to evaluate business impacts, manage project compliance, and assess benefits and value.
- Experience in mentoring, team building, performance management, and HR processes related to project teams.
