Start Date: - 24 March 2025

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master who will lead and manage the delivery of software development projects following agile principles and will guide and support the development team, ensuring effective collaboration, removing impediments, and driving continuous improvement. The role will involve using tools such as JIRA to track progress, manage backlogs, and ensure transparency across all stages of the project lifecycle for a long-term contract with one of our government clients.

Required Skills

• At least 3+ years of experience working as a Scrum Master in agile development teams.
• Extensive experience using JIRA for task tracking, backlog management, and project reporting.
• Experience and strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and other agile frameworks.
• Strong ability to lead and facilitate agile ceremonies, team meetings, and ensure smooth collaboration between all team members.
• Ability to anticipate issues and proactively remove impediments that could impact the team's delivery.
• Experience in tracking team metrics like velocity, burndown charts, and using them for continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with additional project management tools such as Confluence, Trello, or Asana.
• Experience in a software development environment, particularly with cross-functional agile teams.
• Experience working with remote or distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure the team stays aligned with agile principles.
• Use JIRA to manage the product backlog, track project progress, assign tasks, and generate reports for the team and stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Product Owner to manage the product backlog and help prioritise tasks, ensuring that the development team works on the most valuable features.
• Mentor and coach the team on agile principles and Scrum methodologies, helping them continuously improve their workflow.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure that the project remains aligned with organisational goals and timelines.
• Monitor the team's velocity and performance using JIRA metrics, facilitating continuous improvement and helping the team achieve sprint objectives.

• Candidates must be an Australian Citizen.
• Candidates must have Baseline Security Clearance or NV-1 Clearance
