Job Description

The Reporting and Insights Analyst is responsible for collating and analysing data and insights from multiple systems for AFCA. You will partner with senior leaders to deeply understand business performance and provide business insights to prepare engaging and persuasive reports through data storytelling to influence and improve business performance. Reporting to the Manager, Business Performance Reporting & Insights, you will be joining the Data & Analytics team within AFCA's Corporate Services function. The successful candidate will have experience with interpreting high volumes of data and translating into meaningful insights. We are seeking someone who is naturally curious, analytical and collaborative to create insights and storytelling.

Please note, this is a 12-month contract opportunity.

Typically, In This Role You Will

  • Collate and analyse business performance data from multiple systems, to support business engagement to influence and improve performance
  • Partner with senior leaders to deeply understand business performance and levers to influence and improve performance
  • Support with preparing engaging and persuasive reports through data storytelling to influence and improve business performance
  • Engage with operational leaders to assist in development of tools and reports to enable improved business decision making
  • Continually improving and enhancing current suite of reporting in line with strategic initiatives

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience with interpreting high volumes of data and translating into meaningful insights
  • Experience with trend analysis, forecasting and scenario modelling
  • Ability to create engaging and persuasive reports through data storytelling
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative approach
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of business performance levers
  • Proven ability to engage stakeholders and influence change
  • Experience with PowerBI or equivalent
  • Advanced Excel
