Lead Data Analyst - SQL / Python / R / BI

NTT DATA is currently looking for a Chief / Lead / Senior Data Analyst for a client in Brussels.

Your role:

• As Chief Data Functional Analyst, you will assist the Chief Data Officer (CDO) in defining and implementing the data strategy of the organisation. You will lead the team of functional data analysts responsible for addressing the needs of the Business Units in the field of analytical solutions and master data management, ensuring that the GDPR rules are correctly complied with:
• You will be in contact with the Business Units, ICT and external partners such as mutual insurance companies and the new Health Data Agency to collect requirements and ensure alignment between the parties in terms of sharing data in a uniform manner.
• You will be part of the Data Office, a cross-functional organization that delivers data services in an agile manner. You will work together with the development teams, data architects, data governance teams and the DPO.
• You assist the CDO in implementing the data strategy and participate in defining the roadmap for the data program, both for BI and advanced analytics needs (including AI) and for the data governance program;
• You lead a team of 5 functional data analysts and ensure that they collect and translate business needs into technical specifications in accordance with the applicable methodologies. You ensure that they collaborate effectively with project managers, data architects and developers of analytical solutions;
• You manage the Data Functional Analyst Competence Center, which focuses on defining standards and best practices in the field of methodology;
• You ensure a good understanding of the business processes and challenges of the Business Units in the field of data and storage management;
• You help define the conceptual data model of the organisation in collaboration with your team, the data architects and the business experts;
• You centralise a register of all analytical data processing in collaboration with your teams, which you share with the DPO. You check, together with the organisation's legal experts, whether the analytical solutions have a legal basis;
• You work with the data governance teams to create metadata catalogues.
• You are involved in identifying the Data Office's staffing needs and in recruiting new talent. You maintain contacts with other organisations in the Belgian healthcare.
• More specifically, you maintain contacts with the new Health Data Agency with a view to greater data interoperability at Belgian and European level (common data model and common repositories);

Your profile:

• Master in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data management and/or functional data analysis
• Good experience (minimum 5 years) in team management in an agile mode
• Good experience (3 years) with data modeling (conceptual and logical modeling) as part of the process of creating data warehouses (type kimball)
• Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or BI platforms such as Power BI.
• Good knowledge of GDPR processes
• Experience in working with sensitive data (medical) is a plus
• Good knowledge of repository management and/or master data management
• Understanding of the principles of data governance and metadata management is a plus
• Experience with change management to implement new initiatives and technologies.
