We are seeking an experienced Azure Site Reliability Engineer to support our traditional infrastructure team in transitioning to a modern SRE environment. For the first six months, the role will involve system engineering tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, gradually shifting towards full-time Azure SRE responsibilities. This role requires a collaborative professional who can effectively communicate and work alongside developers, testers, architects, and security personnel. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in Azure SRE/DevOps practices and a proven ability to drive cultural change and process improvements within the infrastructure team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Initial Six Months: System Engineering Tasks:
- Manage daily incidents, including disk clean-ups, server access, and AD tasks.
- Monitor and maintain servers and services (IIS, service accounts, memory usage).
- Document incidents and manage tickets, providing support to colleagues.
- Manage servers, software packages, and reports.
- Perform server patching, software updates, and security tasks.
- Reset service account passwords and collaborate with security teams.
- Manage Datadog monitors, dashboards, and integrations.
- Handle P1 incidents and participate in regular war rooms.
- Conduct Azure delivery checks and provide server access.
- Transition to Azure SRE:
- Assist the traditional infrastructure team in adopting Azure SRE/DevOps methodologies and best practices.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment process.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, architects, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and effective communication across all IT functions.
- Provide training and mentorship to the infrastructure team on Azure SRE/DevOps tools and practices.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges related to the transition to Azure SRE/DevOps.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Ensure that security, compliance, and best practices are integrated into SRE/DevOps processes.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the SRE/DevOps processes.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Qualifications:
- Solid background in system engineering and administration tasks.
- Proven experience as an Azure Site Reliability or DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Azure services, SRE and DevOps practices.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Azure Pipelines, Git, Jenkins, etc.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience working with external partners.
- Ability to train and mentor team members with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Familiarity with security best practices and integration within DevOps pipelines.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Relevant Azure certifications are a plus.
- Speak and written French and English, native or advanced level
- Living in Brussels
