Task Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with the relevant data privacy laws across Europe and other countries where CV operates including for its fully owned subsidiaries, as it may be required.
  • Advise Cargolux staff on legal requirements and best practices concerning data protection.
  • Lead the staff within the Data Protection unit and act as contact person, together with SR Manager Compliance, for the relevant data protection authorities with regard to all administrative matters as well as any potential complaints and breaches.
  • Oversee completion of Privacy Impact Assessments, providing advice and guidance as appropriate.
  • Implement and AI compliance program and supervise all relevant assessments and obligations required under the new AI regulations
  • Implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective data protection program within CV.
  • Coordinate and implement data protection compliance training program and policies together with the Head of Compliance Trainings and Communications.
  • Provide regular reporting to the SR Manager Compliance, CCO and senior management.
  • Monitor the documentation, notification and communication if data incidents and breaches occur.
  • In cooperation with the other departments develops and oversees a system for uniform handling of such violations.
  • Monitor implementation of recommendations formulated by Internal and External Auditors and Consultants on data protection matters.

Essential Requirements For The Position:

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, compliance or information technology with strong fields of expertise in data protection, privacy matters, new technologies laws and/or on data management, cybersecurity or new technologies including AI science.
  • You have between 3 and 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • You have a thorough understanding of GDPR as well as knowledge in other privacy, cybersecurity related regulations and AI regulations. CIPP/E, CIPM is an asset but is not compulsory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and French; any other language is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Proven experience as team leader
  • Ability to transform complex topics into clear and engaging materials
  • Creative mindset
  • Team player, flexible and willing to work on a variety of topics
  • Basic understanding of compliance key regulatory and legal requirements is an advantage
  • Proving experience in delivering training and/or giving presentations is an advantage

Working Conditions:

  • Permanent, full-time position, based in Luxembourg
  • Occasional travel may be required within the Cargolux network
  • A certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciare, Polizieiliches Fuhrungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
