Junior Data Scientist

We are looking for a Junior Data Scientist

Required Competencies:

MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (MSc/PhD in Data Science is a plus)

Between 2 and 4 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or a similar role

Proven knowledge and experience in Machine Learning, NLP, and text dataset curation

Hands-on experience in coding for real-world data analytics applications

Experience in NLP tasks, such as Text Classification, NER, and Information Retrieval

Experience working with LLMs, OpenAI API (or equivalent), and RAG

Proficiency in Python and ML/DL packages (PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas)

Solid mathematical foundations and experience in statistical consultancy

Strong business sense with the ability to quickly understand use cases

Familiarity with data engineering, modeling, and business analysis

Good communication skills

Fluency in English and Portuguese

Preferential Competencies:

Experience with Cafe

Programming languages like Java, R and C++

Knowledge of cloud tools such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud

Experience with MLOPs practices
