What you will do

• Be language-agnostic, adapting quickly to new technologies and programming languages to develop innovative solutions;
• Stay up to date with technology trends and help future-proof our solutions;
• Apply Cloud Native Design Patterns to modernize legacy monolithic applications into cloud-hosted microservices;
• Develop and deploy performant, secure, and scalable code following best practices and coding standards;
• Allocate time for continuous learning, including training, certifications, and research;
• Work both remotely and travel when required;
• Design architectural solutions for enterprise applications;
• Leverage expert-level knowledge of enterprise programming languages, development tools, and best practices;
• Ensure high availability, scalability, resilience, performance, and security of cloud-native systems;
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across different teams;
• Work in an agile development environment;
• Strike a balance between pragmatism and dogmatism, making practical yet well-founded decisions;
• Maintain an open-minded approach, actively listening, questioning, and respecting different viewpoints (your goal is to mentor and support others, not to criticize).
  
  

Must haves

• 5+ years experience in e-commerce engineering;
• Experience with Elixir strongly considered, but with a willingness to understand legacy systems and languages such as Perl and PHP as well as modern tech stacks;
• Language agnosticism and willingness to engage with legacy ecosystems and code as well as modern cloud-native tech stack;
• Fluency in source control systems such as Git/Github;
• Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or Github Actions;
• Upper-Intermediate level of English.
