Join a global leader at the forefront of innovation, spearheading the first-ever deployment of Kubernetes in this groundbreaking cloud migration project! This role offers a unique opportunity to build a first-of-its-kind Kubernetes architecture while shaping the future of a multi-billion-dollar industry.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll take on a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and leading the migration to Azure, leveraging Kubernetes for complex, large-scale production deployments. You’ll combine technical expertise with leadership to drive the success of this global migration project, setting industry benchmarks along the way.

This position requires 2 days on site in Limerick for the first few weeks and can then be moved to a fully remote position in Ireland. Please note - Candiates must be currently located in Ireland.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement greenfield Kubernetes solutions, with a focus on production-grade deployments (preferably AKS).
• Lead the design and execution of the cloud migration strategy to Azure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud services.
• Write robust scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell to support automation and infrastructure as code.
• Manage Linux-based systems and ensure optimal performance in a software engineering environment.
• Provide technical leadership and project oversight to ensure timely and effective delivery.

Requirements:

• Expertise in Kubernetes: Strong knowledge of production environments, preferably AKS, but experience with other Kubernetes platforms is welcome.
• Cloud Platform Experience: Deep understanding of Azure, AWS, GCP, or other major platforms.
• Scripting Skills: Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
• Linux Proficiency: Solid experience managing Linux systems.
• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and deliver large-scale projects.
• Software Engineering Background: Experience working in or alongside software engineering environments.
