About The Team And The Role

We are the eBay Seller Experience Team, dedicated to driving impactful projects and fostering a unique, inclusive team culture.

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Seller Experience - Inventory Management team, you will have the unique opportunity to work on one of the largest and most dynamic e-commerce platforms in the world. What You Will Accomplish

• Design and develop backend systems using JAVA/J2EE and NOSQL.
• Analyze and enhance the speed, efficiency, scalability, stability, availability, and security of customer-facing applications and APIs.
• Develop documentation and testing infrastructure to ensure production-level readiness.
• Create automation tests in Java, Junit, Selenium, and other internal Java-based automation frameworks for REST/GraphQL services and messaging components.
• Collaborate with product managers, business units, and UI design teams to understand product requirements and translate them into engineering specifications.
  
  
  

What You Will Bring

• A minimum of 4-5 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong background in designing and building scalable systems for large-scale online platforms.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Java, C++, or similar, and experience with frameworks and technologies like J2EE, Spring, GraphQL, ORACLE, and NOSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and develop efficient, innovative solutions, with a focus on optimizing performance and scalability.
• Proven experience in system architecture and design, including the ability to create and maintain high-performing, reliable, and secure applications.
• Strong skills in developing automated tests using tools like JUnit, Selenium, and other testing frameworks to ensure software quality and reliability.
