Job Overview:


The Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing the overall marketing strategy of the company, with a special emphasis on public relations (PR) and crisis management. The role is crucial in maintaining a positive brand image and reputation, particularly in times of external challenges. This position requires strong crisis management capabilities, brand protection awareness, and excellent communication skills with media, the public, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement the company’s overall marketing strategy, particularly focusing on public relations and crisis management to support brand image and reputation.
  • Lead the marketing department’s PR strategy, ensuring effective and consistent communication with various media outlets and the public.
  • Analyze market dynamics and potential risks, creating crisis response plans to ensure the company reacts swiftly and effectively during crises.


Public Relations Management and Brand Communications

  • Oversee the development and execution of the company’s PR strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's mission, values, and brand image.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and public affairs stakeholders to ensure positive coverage and brand visibility.
  • Plan and execute media events, press releases, social media engagement, and influencer partnerships to enhance brand awareness.


Crisis Management

  • Develop and execute crisis communication plans, ensuring rapid, transparent, and accurate responses to any negative publicity, public scrutiny, or crisis situations.
  • Lead the company’s public relations efforts during major crises, working with leadership to mitigate brand damage and restore trust with stakeholders.
  • Monitor public opinion, track media sentiment, and adjust the company’s strategies to prevent or address potential crises before they escalate.


Marketing Campaigns and Promotions

  • Design and drive integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment and coordination between PR, advertising, and promotional activities to maximize market impact.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product, legal) to ensure smooth execution of campaigns and events.


Team Management

  • Lead and manage the marketing team, particularly in PR and crisis management, providing guidance and mentorship to team members to help them grow professionally.
  • Set clear goals for the team and monitor performance in PR and crisis communication efforts to ensure effective execution.


Media Relations and Crisis Response

  • Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key media outlets, ensuring ongoing positive brand coverage.
  • Act as the company’s spokesperson during crises, communicating the company's stance clearly and promptly to mitigate negative press and public perception.


Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, legal, sales, and other departments to ensure that crisis management and public relations efforts are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure brand and marketing strategies are consistent and supportive of the company’s goals.


Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Conduct market research and evaluate the effectiveness of PR and crisis management efforts, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Provide detailed reports on PR activities, crisis communication strategies, and their impact on brand value, reputation, and business performance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • At least 8 years of experience in marketing, public relations, or crisis management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in managing brand PR, crisis communication, or large-scale PR campaigns, preferably in [industry, e.g., technology, consumer goods, healthcare].
  • Experience in handling complex crisis situations, with a strong understanding of global PR and crisis management practices.
  • Expertise in brand management, PR strategy, and crisis communication.
  • Strong media relations skills and the ability to write high-quality PR materials (press releases, speeches, statements, etc.).
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms, with the ability to navigate multiple communication channels.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and lead the team effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong team leadership and management abilities, capable of motivating the team to achieve PR objectives and crisis response goals.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills and the ability to coordinate with various departments, especially during crisis events.
  • A solid understanding and passion for blockchain technology and crypto assets, with the ability to quickly adapt to this dynamic industry.
