Responsibilities:
- Construct and maintain configurations for data networks.
- Design, test, and install network software and hardware.
- Troubleshoot network problems using network analyzers, sniffers, and other tools.
- Develop, update, and review network-related documentation and technical specifications.
- Configure and implement network monitoring and management systems.
- Implement and monitor network security measures.
- Plan network capacity and estimate network utilization.
- Analyze current network software and propose modifications or upgrades per best practices.
- Perform log file analysis, trace analysis, and dump analysis.
- Engage with vendors providing network-related services and equipment.
- Deployment and maintenance of IPv6 networks.
- Ensure compliance with IT service management frameworks (ITIL, ISO/IEC 20000).
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant education (Master’s degree or equivalent) after secondary school.
- Minimum of 9 years of relevant professional experience in:
- DNS and IP administration.
- LAN protocols (Spanning Tree Protocol, VLAN trunking).
- TCP/IP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, and/or EIGRP.
- WAN network topologies and hardware (MPLS, Private Line).
- Network Management tools (IXIA, NetFlow).
- Advanced knowledge in:
- Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN) principles, practices, and procedures.
- Network configurations, including routing and switching.
- Internet Protocol (IP)-based LAN/WAN administration (Cisco ACI knowledge is a plus).
- Firewall, VPN, and load balancer configuration and troubleshooting (Cisco, Stonegate, F5 preferred).
- Network capacity planning, security, and monitoring.
- Encryption protocols at the network layer (SSL/TLS, IPSEC, etc.).
- Load balancing, firewalls, switches (L2/L3), redundancy, IP addressing.
- Network device deployment, installation, and configuration backup/recovery.
- Documentation and technical specifications for network infrastructure.
- Additional Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with Fortinet and Checkpoint Vendor Technologies.
- Understanding of common network topologies and cabling standards (fiber, copper, Ethernet).
- Certifications such as CCNP, ITILv3, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Strong ability to adapt to fast-changing network technologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
