Our client, a distinguished entity in the IT sector, is seeking a skilled Java Developer for a permanent position within their Health, Adviser and Employer IT team. This role operates on a hybrid working pattern, with the expectation of working two days per week in any of their offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the software development life cycle: build, maintain, test, deliver, release, and document software solutions.
  • Write clean, secure, and well-tested software with method commentary.
  • Complete all necessary documentation, such as support manuals and test and release notes.
  • Investigate and fix faults, providing root cause analysis and recommendations.
  • Carry out releases, troubleshoot, and provide support.
  • Perform infrastructure maintenance tasks.
  • Understand and apply architectural pattern designs.
  • Translate design into code and document work using required standards.
  • Design solutions with embedded security controls.
  • Ensure solutions are user-focused, strategically aligned, and integrated across teams.
  • Build and test software to meet design specifications.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and propose solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in the use of appropriate tools/technologies for the design, development, build, testing and deployment of Java/JEE applications.
  • Experience in integrating disparate applications and technologies using Java.
  • Familiarity with modern web application frameworks and integration technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret complex relationships and data sets.
