Senior Software Engineer - Integration

Permanent | $ Competitive Salary $ + variable bonus | Sydney or Melbourne (in office 2 days a week)



The Company: Our client is a leading financial institution undergoing a significant Enterprise Wide Tech Modernisation program. This program spans over 5+ years and will be delivering many exciting, industry first solutions.



The Role: An exciting opportunity for multiple Senior Software Engineers to join the Integration department of the tech modernisation program. You will be responsible for designing and building large-scale enterprise projects focused on Service Enablement. These platforms will be utilised by thousands of internal customers and engineering teams.



Project Specifics:

• Develop and implement APIs, Microservices, and Cloud Native solutions.
• Work with JAVA and Springboot; NodeJS experience is a bonus.
• Implement supergraphs and GraphQL (ideal but not mandatory).
• Set up scripted infrastructure on Azure or AWS (IaC).
• Ensure security measures are in place for systems handling vast numbers of transactions daily.

The Experience Required:

• Proven experience in designing and building large-scale enterprise projects.
• Strong skills in JAVA and Springboot; NodeJS is a plus.
• Experience with APIs, Microservices, and Cloud Native development.
• Familiarity with supergraphs and GraphQL is advantageous.
• Security-savvy with experience in building solutions handling high-volume transactions.
• Excellent soft skills, proactive attitude, and strong stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to work independently and build relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience in Banking and Finance or large-scale tech companies (like Google, Amazon, Microsoft).
