About The Team

The SOC Analyst 1 will be a key player in the first line of defense within our Security Operations Center. This entry-level position will focus on monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events utilizing a suite of advanced tools. This role provides an excellent opportunity to grow and develop skills in cybersecurity within a dynamic and collaborative team environment.

What You’ll Own

• Monitor security events and alerts from various sources including CrowdStrike EDR, Falcon Fusion SOAR, and Proofpoint.
• Perform initial triage and analysis of security incidents to determine their severity and escalation path.
• Utilize JSM for case management and documentation of incidents.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security monitoring and response tools.
• Participate in the development and improvement of SOC processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with other SOC team members to ensure comprehensive security event monitoring.
• Conduct basic threat analysis and intelligence gathering to support incident response activities.
• Support senior analysts and leadership with various security-related tasks as needed.
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with common security tools such as EDR, SOAR, and firewalls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Prior internship or experience in a SOC or related security role.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or similar.
