Sigortam.net is currently seeking a "Data Scientist" to join their Data Analytics team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and optimizing machine learning models, data pipelines, and analytical frameworks that power our decision-making processes. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking, with a strong focus on leveraging data science and AI-driven insights to enhance business outcomes.

We are looking for a "Data Scientist" to join our team and contribute to our data-driven initiatives.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics) or a related discipline; advanced degree is a plus
• 1-3 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL is essential, with hands-on experience in data manipulation (Pandas, NumPy), machine learning (Scikit-learn), and working with large-scale datasets.
• A background in statistical analysis and data mining is necessary, demonstrating strong skills in data-driven thinking
• A strong understanding of modelling techniques and statistical concepts
• Experience in building and maintaining machine learning models, including data collection, preprocessing, feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, evaluation, and deployment
• Familiarity with MLOps practices, such as model monitoring, versioning, automated retraining, and deployment pipelines. Experience with MLflow for experiment tracking, model management, and lifecycle automation is a plus
• Experience in managing and optimizing Datamart structures, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability
• Hands-on experience in maintaining and updating dashboards in Power BI or similar visualization tools. (Power BI is plus)
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or visualization libraries like matplotlib, seaborn or plotly
• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex information into actionable and executable points for both C-level executives and business units
• Ability to extract valuable insights from data and adeptly craft engaging narratives that truly resonate with business stakeholders through powerful storytelling
• Experience with Git
• Agile methodology knowledge is a plus

Your role:

• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to gain deep insights into the dataset, enabling effective evaluation and drawing meaningful conclusions.
• Identify and address complex data needs, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, uncover customer issues, and propose viable solutions.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end data analytics process, from problem comprehension to proposing and implementing effective solutions, working collaboratively with product teams, growth hackers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain machine learning models, ensuring they remain accurate and relevant by monitoring performance, detecting drift, and retraining when necessary.
• Implement and oversee MLOps processes, including model deployment, versioning, and automation, to ensure models are efficiently integrated into production environments.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and generative AI within the insurance industry, continuously seeking opportunities to apply cutting-edge techniques to our projects.
