🔑 Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure API architectures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans on APIs.
• Develop and enforce API security policies, including authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the API lifecycle.
• Monitor API traffic for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Provide training and guidance to development teams on API security best practices.

✅ Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in API security, application security, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols such as OAuth, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Experience with encryption techniques (e.g., SSL/TLS, AES, RSA).
• Familiarity with API standards like REST, GraphQL, and SOAP.
• Proficiency in tools for API testing and security (e.g., Postman, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP).
• Understanding of common security vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL Injection, XSS, CSRF) and their prevention.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
