At Ounass, we’re on the lookout for a Senior Product Designer to create world-class user experiences that blend luxury, convenience, and personalization. As a key part of our Product Design team, you’ll play a critical role in shaping the future of digital shopping for our customers.

In this role, you will own and drive the design process for your assigned chapter(s), collaborating closely with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Researchers, and Business Teams to craft seamless, intuitive, and visually compelling user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Product knowledge: Deeply understand the technology and features of your assigned chpater(s) and proactively learn about others. Understand business opportunities, audience, competition, and Ounass’s value proposition. Define success metrics (KPIs) for your initiatives.
Research: Validate solutions independently or with guidance from UX Research, incorporating insights into design decisions that fulfill both user and business needs.
Deliverables: Create relevant deliverables (e.g., Jobs to Be Done, competitive evaluations, content requirements, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, journey maps, storyboards, design vision, etc.) to define and execute user-centric solutions.
Communication: Communicate the outcomes of your UX activities—such as research findings, design concepts, and usability insights—to the UX department, your chapter, and other relevant Ounass stakeholders. Present with clarity, simplifying complex ideas for diverse audiences.
Usability: Proactively identify both small and large usability issues within your chapter(s), and help influence your Product Manager to prioritize them.
Iteration: Lead and coach iteration of design work chapters(s).
Design system: Actively contribute to the Design System, help determine whether components are single-use or multi-use, and provide recommendations to the Design System Manager regarding new component requests.
UI copy: Collaborate early and often with Copywriters and Product Managers on microcopy to ensure user experiences are efficient. Help improve docs and incorporate documentation within the UI as needed to assist users in moving through their workflows.
Design reviews: Participate in Design Reviews and model best practices for giving and receiving feedback.
UX debt: Help reduce the creation of additional UX debt and advocate within your chapter(s) the importance of releasing value to users. Identify and influence the prioritization to fix UX debt when it occurs.
Cross-stage collaboration: Support in identifying dependencies between groups and stages and advocating for cross-stage collaboration when needed.
Mentoring: Mentor other members of the Product Design team on how to approach design problems, solicit feedback, and drive for impactful outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

8+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design for consumer-facing digital products (e-commerce is a plus).
Strong expertise in design thinking, user-centered design, usability testing, and UX research.
Proficiency in Figma (or Sketch), prototyping, and microinteractions.
Deep understanding of UI design principles, including responsive design, mobile UX patterns, and design systems.
Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
A portfolio showcasing high-impact UX work that has driven both business and user value.
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (to understand development feasibility).
Communicate effectively across all departments, with a strong emphasis on both written and verbal communication.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintaining a positive and proactive approach.
Tackle challenges with a problem-solving mindset and strong decision-making abilities.
Quickly sketch and prototype ideas to present and test concepts both internally and externally.
Present, discuss, and confidently defend design conclusions at an expert level.
