DevOps Engineering Intern- Irvine, CA
Panasonic Avionics Corporation seeks motivated DevOps Engineering Intern to join our growing DevOps Engineering team in our Irvine, CA, office. You'll participate in increasing response time on production issues, better self-service of developer needs, increasing adoption of CI/CD maturity including automating tests and increasing test coverage. This paid internship will start in June and continue through August 2025, with an opportunity to potentially continue through the school year.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26- $38. The final offer amount may vary and is based on the candidates' year in school. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate as part of a development team to build tools for automating software development tasks
- Participate in agile software development ceremonies
- Ensure your deliverables comply with the latest industry and company standards for design, code quality, performance, and security
- Conduct design and code reviews with other team members and maintain up to date documentation
- Support software releases, including fixing bugs in the product pipelines
- Understanding of software development in a business environment
- Hands-on experience supporting the development of commercial software applications
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure best practices
- Networking with professionals in the software development community
- Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical major
- Familiar with software development
- Basic understanding of software testing methodologies
- Entry-level experience with a major programming language, such as JavaScript, Python, or Go
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A desire to learn and take initiative with problem solving
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems
- (Nice to have) Experience with AWS or other cloud computing platforms
- (Nice to have) Working knowledge of container based technologies such as Docker
