Security Operations Analyst - Insurance - £80-90k

Cyber Security Engineer - CISSP / CompTIA+, Azure, Microsoft Defender, Endpoint Protection, Insurance Broker

Our client, a leading insurance broker, is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a 24x7 SOC service, monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats, while ensuring compliance with financial services security regulations.

Key Skills & Expertise:

• CISSP or CompTIA Security+ accreditation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Azure security tools (Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, Conditional Access).
• Experience with Microsoft Defender 365, endpoint protection, and EDR tools (e.g., Sophos).
• Expertise in Exchange Online, Mimecast/Proofpoint, Active Directory security, and SIEM platforms (Sentinel, Hunters).
• Solid understanding of incident response processes, root-cause analysis, and ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow).

It is essential to come from a Financial Services or Insurance industry background to be considered for this opportunity.
