Intern - Software Engineer

We design digital financial products that seamlessly merge financing and payments with shopping ultimately empowering people to improve their quality of life. We are looking for Interns to join our Product & Technology unit. As an Intern, you will be developing projects in a supportive team. Projects range from new product development to refactoring existing code to be more maintainable and scalable. You will have the chance to participate in a development team that is agile but not tied to one methodology.

What You’ll Be Doing

• You’ll take part in one development team activity, which means developing and following team workflows which can contain out of scrum sprint plannings, groomings, retros, demos, and standups.
• You’ll also be able to follow the development process, which includes participating in grooming sessions where development issues are refined.
• You’ll get to write code for tickets, tests for written code, and smoke test written code as well.
• You’ll also get to participate in the code review process, participating in ticket testing processes and releasing tickets to production.
  
  

You Ideally Come With The Following

• You know the basics of the development lifecycle with some experience with related tools (IDE, ticket management tools, GIT, code repositories, Docker, CI/CD).
• You are either experience with Java or Ruby.
• You possess some knowledge of SQL.
• A proactive attitude and a solutions-oriented mindset.
• Fluent skills in written and spoken English.
