Senior Software Engineer, Assistant Vice President

GlobalLink FX Connect, a division of State Street Global Markets, is an industry leading multi-bank FX electronic trading platform used by 19 of the world's largest 20 FX liquidity providers and most major asset managers. The targeted product is a sophisticated electronic trading system with real-time and complex workflow management components built on JEE and Oracle on the server side and state-of-the-art HTML5 / Web UI technologies on the front end, and real-time technologies such as web sockets on the communication layer.

The role is backend developer with strong experience with core Java and related technologies.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ relevant development.
• Excellent knowledge of and demonstrated experience with core Java, including concurrency / multithreading.
• Excellent knowledge of and demonstrated experience with Oracle, SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Excellent knowledge of and demonstrated experience with Java database access technologies such as Hibernate, JPA, and JDBC.
• Nice to have: working experience with Web UI technologies such as TypeScript, React.js, HTML5, GraphQL.
• Nice to have: working experience with messaging brokers, particularly a JMS-based broker and/or Rabbit MQ.
• Nice to have: working experience with Web Sockets protocol and in-depth understanding of HTTP protocol.
• Nice to have: working experience in financial industry, particularly in FX vertical.
