Senior Data Engineer

Do you want to be the first Data Engineer in the door at an Irish startup with a great product used by big names?

You'll work on a product that helps users track and improve performance through data. The role focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines, working with large datasets, and integrating insights into the platform.

Specifically, you’ll manage data infrastructure on Google Cloud, design and optimize ETL processes. You’ll also establish best practices for data management and lay the groundwork for a scalable data function as the company expands its data team.

You'll use SQL and Python to process and analyse data, with a mix of engineering and data science responsibilities. Ideally you have hands-on experience owning and delivering data projects whether that’s a startup, scale-up, or a lean team within a larger org.

What you need:

• Strong SQL & experience with relational databases
• A decent level of competency with Python
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines
• Cloud experience, they’re on GCP but any platform is good

Interview process:

A quick call with the hiring manager to start, then a practical take-home test which will form a framework for conversation in the technical interview. Final wrap-up chat at the end with HR.

Location:

Hybrid in south Dublin - 1-2 days per week in the office, it’s more relaxed down the line but a bit of face time to start.
