Role Description

This is a full-time Cyber Security Architect role based in the Galway Metropolitan Area. The Cyber Security Architect will be responsible for designing security architecture, implementing application security, ensuring cybersecurity measures, managing network security, and safeguarding information security on-site.


Responsible for security architecture design and deployment, analysing security events across the technology estate. Proactive vulnerability identification response and remediation assistance within all technology assets and all public facing services. To track, assist with and help manage the remediation efforts for all identified IT security related issues. To help enhance and maintain reporting on all security operations and to ensure and improve information security and regulatory compliance.


Qualifications

  • Security Architecture Design and Application Security skills
  • Cybersecurity and Network Security skills
  • Experience in Information Security
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Monitor networks and connected devices for security issues
  • Proactively respond to and report on DLP, IPS/IDS, ATP, APT detection, help device on remediation actions and improvement plans
  • Investigate all cyber security incidents
  • Aid in the documentation of security breaches and provide remediation recommendations
  • Assess security incidents and measure organisational impact
  • Work with IT Ops on identified systems vulnerabilities to seek long term solutions
  • Track and help manage remediation efforts ensuring a mature document trail
  • Stay current on IT security trends and news (Trusted 3rd Party Notifications)
  • Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
  • Ensure and improve organisation’s IT Security and regulatory compliance
